If bad breath is a constant problem for you, here’s what you can do to get rid of it.
It’s not unusual to experience the occasional case of bad breath (halitosis) from time to time, especially after consuming certain foods. However, if it is a constant problem, there may be another issue. Chronic bad breath is most often caused by odor-causing bacteria in the mouth. The solution? Improve oral hygiene. Properly brushing teeth, dentures and prosthetics as well as your tongue will help reduce bacteria build-up. If the problem persists, see your doctor. Other problems that can cause halitosis include gingivitis, tooth decay, medications that decrease saliva production, sinus and respiratory infections, problems with the gastro-intestinal tract, kidneys or liver and diabetes.
